Thrive Psychology is a small family business, established in 2012, which offers a range of Educational Psychology services for parents, carers, individuals and organisations.
Our lead practitioner, Dr. Samantha O’Shaughnessy, is a Chartered Educational Psychologist with over 20 years of Local Authority (LA) experience. Registered with the Health Care Professionals’ Council and a Chartered Member of The British Psychological Society, Samantha has worked in a variety of educational settings including primary schools, sixth form colleges, nurseries and private educational settings. Thrive has a practice age range of 0 – 25 years.
At Thrive, we regularly liaise with other agencies and health professionals and can access support and advice from a wide network of specialists to inform most assessments. We can also deliver home based assessment and consultation services where required.
Based in Newport, South Wales, Thrive can offer services to South Wales and the South West of England (services to other geographical locations are possible via video and telephone advice appointments).
